Rats Saw God

Well, i just finished this book. An i have to admit that it was a reallly good book and i liked it alot i give this book a 9 out of 10 and thats only because it has a slow beginning so it might take about 40 pages to get going but once it gets going its a really good book and you will want to keep reading it.

Setting

My book takes place in San Diego, California during Steve Yorks senior in high school. But during this senior year in high school Steve spent most of his time "smoked out." Until graduation rolled around and Steve was about to fail unless he wrote a 100 paper for his princibal about anything that he wanted. He chose to write about when he lived in Texas so thats where half of the book is talking about his crazy time in Texas and his ex-perfect life with his girlfriend and bestfriends throughout his freshman through junior year and after that he was forced to move with his mother in San Diego, California where he is now.

Characters

My post is about a couple of the characters in the book "Rats Saw God." This book takes place in California but it switches off about him writing about when he used to live in Texas. So now im going you about the characters.............................

Ok it starts off with Steve York a senior in highschool and he was a 4.0 student until he had to move from Texas to California and then he met something called drugs which he got into really deep and now the only way he can graduate is to write a 100 page essay about anything he wants. Well thats his problems so far. But yeah his parents got divorced and he lived with his dad and enjoyed it really much until his dad made him move back to his moms which he hates. So this book is telling all the problems in his life and he gets past everything and finds new stuff.


Then another characters issues so far in this book is Wanda a.k.a Deb she always had a crush on Steve. But shes kind of a wierd girl she is shy and kind of creepy but yea this is really the only other character thats starting to come into this book. But she is in Steve's club called "G.O.D."

Reading

One day when i was four picked up a book for the first time and it was amazing...guess what i didnt know how to read it. So my mom read it to me and i enjoyed it. But now i do and i really enjoy reading books it kind of takes you away into like another world feom the world that your in so it kind of gives you a break from everything around you. Well my favorite kind of books to read are mystery and action books that actually make you want to read and keep going. And i hate slow and stupid books.
